Can I Glue Two Threshold Seals Together?Updated 6 hours ago
For bigger installations of our threshold seals, you may find that the threshold is not available in a continuous length.
You can purchase two threshold seals and glue them together with the adhesive provided. For example, for an installation of 28’ (8.5m), you can glue a 20’3” (6.17m) threshold seal and an 8’3” (2.52m) threshold seal together. The ends of both seals should be coated in adhesive and pressed together.
This will maintain the water-tight seal of our thresholds as the adhesive is waterproof once cured. The threshold seal should be left for 24 hours for the adhesive to cure.
Please note, the joint of the seals should not be placed where a vehicle’s tyre will cross the seal as this can cause excessive stress on the joint and cause the seal to split.
